Dr. Lorne Chapnick received his DDS from the University of Toronto in 1972 and his specialty endodontic degree from Tufts University in 1976.

Dr. Chapnick has been a teacher at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto from 1978 until the present. He has received three teaching awards, including the A.B. Hord Master Teacher award.

Dr. Chapnick is a past-president of the Canadian Academy of Endodontics, Ontario Society of Endodontists, George Hare Endodontic Study Club and Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity.

He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada (the examining body for dental specialists in Canada) and is a long standing examiner for the College.

Dr. Chapnick is a member of the following groups:

Dr. Chapnick has written numerous articles and has lectured throughout Canada and the United States.
